Building control within the Park area

In order to ensure that no illegal building activities occur within the Marine Park area, the NMPZ hired an architect-civil engineer. The architect is responsible for a) monitoring the building activity within the Park area, b) reporting any illegal building activity to the relevant authorities, and c) creating a database listing all existing buildings in the Marine Park area. So far:

57 cases of building activity have been examined
17 cases of illegal building activities have been reported to the appropriate authorities
a complete database that includes records of all new buildings since the first half of 1999, was set up.
consultation has been offered in 55 cases of professional activity permits.
30 authorisations concerning the use of artificial lights have been issued.
Two cases were reported to competent authorities for illegal use of artificial lights in the NMPZ area.
7 environmental impact studies have been examined
